# How To Add Admins To A TF2 Server

Knowing how to add admins to a TF2 server gives you and your trusted players full control over your Team Fortress 2 server, from kicking troublemakers to changing maps without touching the server console.

## Adding Admins

* Find your SteamID [here](https://steamid.io/).

* Access the [Apollo Panel](https://control.sparkedhost.us/).

* Stop the server.

* Go to the **Files** tab.

* Navigate to the following directory: \`tf/addons/sourcemod/configs\`

* Open the \`admins_simple.ini\` file.

* Scroll to the bottom and add one line per admin, using this format:

"STEAM_0:1:12345678" "z"
```

* Click **Save Content**.

* Start the server.

Here is a list of the available flags:

| Flag   | What it lets the admin do                                    |
|--------|--------------------------------------------------------------|
| a      | Join a full server using a reserved slot                     |
| b      | Base admin access                                            |
| c      | Kick players                                                 |
| d      | Ban players                                                  |
| e      | Remove bans                                                  |
| f      | Slay or slap players                                         |
| g      | Change the map                                               |
| h      | Change server settings                                       |
| i      | Execute config files                                         |
| j      | Use special admin chat commands                              |
| k      | Start votes                                                  |
| l      | Set or remove the server password                            |
| m      | Run RCON commands                                            |
| n      | Use cheat commands                                           |
| o to t | Used by some plugins for their own permissions               |
| z      | Everything above, and ignores immunity when targeting others |
