# How to change the duration of the day on your V-Rising server

Before you begin, make sure to activate the Default mode on your server.

1. Navigate to the File Manager.

2. Go to the path shown in the following image: (container/VRisingServer_Data/StreamingAssets/Settings/ServerHostSettings.json) and locate GameSettingsPreset.

Enter **custom** and save the changes.

3. Now, go to container/VRisingServer_Data/StreamingAssets/Settings/ServerGameSettings.json.

Here, input the desired duration of the day **in seconds**.

Once done, simply restart your server and verify that the changes have been applied.
