# How to create a reverse proxy

A reverse proxy allows you to mask a service that is running under a port on your Minecraft server. This is most useful with plugins which use a port that users should access like [Dynmap](https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/dynmap%C2%AE.274/). It converts the URL from `x.x.x.x:25678` to `my.domain.com`.

### How to create a reverse proxy

1. On the left hand side, click "Network".

2. Click the "Anchor" icon on the port that you want to use to setup a reverse proxy.

3. You can either use your own domain **OR** you can use one of our free sub-domains. In this case, we will use a free sub-domain. Once all the information is filled out, click "Create".

4. You should now be able to access the reverse proxy that you have just created!
