# How to create error pages on cPanel

Creating error pages will make your website look more professional as having a bog standard browser error page looks boring. This article will teach you how to create error pages on cPanel!

### Creating an error page

1. Login to your cPanel account and find the "Advanced" section. Then, click on "Error Pages".

2. Select the domain you would like to apply a error page on.

3. Select the status code you would like to create a error page for. In this case, we will choose 404. A 404 error code means that it is missing. This usually shows up when someone types in a URL or requests an image that does not exist. If you would like to choose a specific error code, click the "Show all HTTP Error Status Codes" button.

4. Here, enter in the HTML of your error page.

5. Once completed, click the "Save" button.

Your error page is now applied to your website / domain!
