# How To Disable Name Tags On Euro Truck Simulator (ETS2) Server

Looking to create a more immersive or realistic experience on your Euro Truck Simulator 2 server? Disabling player name tags can help by removing floating labels above trucks, making gameplay feel more like real-world driving. This is especially useful for roleplay sessions or cinematic content. You can turn off name tags with a quick edit in the server’s configuration file, no mods or advanced tools required.

## Disabling Name Tags

To disable name tags on a Euro Truck Simulator 2 Server: 

* Login to control panel.

* Stop your server.

* Look for the "Startup" tab.

* Within the tab, look for the "Name Tags" option. By default it will be set to true, you must change it to false.
