# How To Disable Traffic On Euro Truck Simulator 2 Server (ETS2)

Want a cleaner, lag-free driving environment on your Euro Truck Simulator 2 server? Disabling traffic is a simple way to reduce clutter, avoid NPC collisions, and improve performance—especially for large convoys or custom events. It’s also helpful when you're focusing on player-only interaction or using modded maps that don’t play well with AI vehicles.

With just a quick change in your server’s config file, you can turn off AI traffic entirely.

## Disabling Traffic On Euro Truck Simulator 2

To disable traffic on a Euro Truck Simulator 2 Server: 

* Login to control panel.

* Stop your server.

* Look for the "Startup" tab.

* Look for the "Traffic" option, by default it will be set to true, you must set it to false.
