# How To Join A Valheim Server

Joining a Valheim server is quick and easy once you know where to look. Whether you're hopping into a friend's world or connecting to a dedicated server, there are a few reliable ways to get in and start exploring. No need for mods or complicated setups—just a few clicks and you’re sailing toward adventure.

In this guide, we'll show you how to join Valheim server and help you enter a Valheim Community Server to play co-op with your friends.

## Joining A Valheim Community Server

To join a Valheim server: 

* Open your Valheim game. 

* Click **Start Game**, and choose your character

* Open the **Join Game** tab, and click on **Add server**

* Now, paste in your server's IP address and port, and click **Add Server** to add it to your server list

* Click **connect** to start server and start playing Valheim!
