# How To Make A Private Soulmask Server

If you’re wondering how to make a private Soulmask server, hosting on a dedicated server is the way to go—it lets you bring friends into the same adventure while giving you full control to customize game settings, optimize server performance, and shape how your community plays, whether in PvE or PvP mode.

## Making A Soulmask Server Private

* Open your [Apollo panel](https://control.sparkedhost.us/).

* Head over to the **Startup** tab.

* Scroll down till you locate the **Server Password** option.

* Choose a secure password for your server.

* Restart the server to apply the changes.

* Now, whenever a player connects to the server, they will have to enter the password.
