# How to Manage And Configure Your Icarus Server

Running your own Icarus server means you control who joins, how the world plays, and how smooth the game feels. Once the server is online, most of the work is in the control panel and one settings file. This guide covers how to manage and configure your Icarus server.

## Server Settings

1. Access the [Apollo Panel](https://control.sparkedhost.us/).

2. Stop the server.

3. Go to the **Files** tab.

4. Navigate to the following directory: \`Icarus/Saved/Config/\`

5. Open the \`ServerSettings.ini\` file.

6. Edit the settings, then click **Save Content**.

7. Start the server.

### Settings

* \`MaxPlayers\` - sets how many players can join. Icarus supports up to 8 players.

* \`JoinPassword\` - sets a password that players will enter to join. Leave it empty for a public server.

* \`AdminPassword\` - sets a password to allow admin commands in-game. Type \`/AdminLogin yourpassword\` in the chat.

* \`LoadProspect\` - this is the name of a saved prospect to load when the server starts. Leave it blank unless you want a specific one.

## Install Saves

* Access the [Apollo Panel](https://control.sparkedhost.us/).

* Stop the server.

* Go to the **Files** tab.

* Navigate to the following directory: \`/Icarus/Saved/PlayerData/DedicatedServer/Prospects\`

* Download the needed prospect save.
