# How to Transfer a Server's Location

Transferring a server’s location lets you move it to a different location for better performance, lower latency, or improved reliability.



|| NOTE: The server's IP address and port will change during the transfer. If you'd like to check if the same **port** is available on a different location. Submit a ticket [here](https://billing.sparkedhost.com/submitticket.php).

1. Open the [Apollo Panel](https://control.sparkedhost.us/).

2. Choose the desired service.

3. Navigate to the **Settings** tab.

4. Click **Change Location**.

5. Select the desired location.

6. Hit **Start** **Transfer**.

7. Once the transfer is completed.

8. Head over to the **Settings** tab.

9. In the **Debug Information** field**,** check the server's current location to confirm that the transfer was successful.
