# How To Update Enshrouded Server

Keeping your Enshrouded server updated ensures compatibility, stability, and access to the latest features and bug fixes. Fortunately, updating is a quick process, especially if you're hosting through Steam or a game panel. Regular updates help prevent mismatches between client and server versions, which can cause connection issues or crashes.

## Updating An Enshrouded Server

To update an Enshrouded server: 

1. In the Apollo Panel, go to the Startup Tab, and ensure that the "Auto Update" option is enabled.

2. Restart the server, and the server will automatically update itself during the restart process.
