## Updating A Palworld Dedicated Server

Please create a backup before proceeding with any restarts or changes to your server to prevent data loss or loss of progress. You can create and download a backup by following our guide [here](https://help.sparkedhost.com/en/article/how-to-backup-your-server-2zb28p/)

To update a Palworld server: 

* Open your [Apollo panel](https://control.sparkedhost.us/)

* Navigate to the **Startup** tab, and make sure **Auto Update** is enabled to turn on automatic updates

* Now, head over to the **Settings** tab and click "Reinstall Server." 

* Wait for the installation to be completed. Once it's finished, the latest version of the game will be installed on your server
