# Why Isn't My Valheim Server Showing Up?

If you're wondering "**why isn't my Valheim server showing up,**" there are several server-side settings to check on your SparkedHost-hosted Valheim server. Make sure the server is online, running the latest version, and using the correct server name, game port, password, and configuration. If the server doesn't appear in the in-game server browser or community server list, check the server logs, server status, and control panel settings to identify the issue. Players can also try connecting directly using the server's correct IP address and port if the server is online but not appearing in the list.

## Check Your Server Status

First, make sure your Valheim server is actually running.

* Access the [Apollo Panel](https://control.sparkedhost.us/).

* Make sure the server is running.

If the server hasn't finished starting, it may not appear in the server browser yet.

## Check the Server Password

If the server requires a password, enter the correct password when you try to join.

To check the server password:

* Open the [Apollo Panel](https://control.sparkedhost.us/).

* Navigate to the "Startup" tab.

* Find the **Server Password** field.

* Ensure you connect using the same password used on the server.

## Check the In-Game Server Browser

After confirming that the server is running:

1. Open **Valheim**.

2. Select **Start Game**.

3. Open **Join Game**.

4. Search for your server using its name.

5. Refresh the server list if it doesn't appear immediately.

Give the server a little time to appear after starting or restarting it.

## Try the Steam Friends List

If the server doesn't appear in the server browser, try joining through the **Steam Friends List**.

Make sure Steam is running and that the server has finished starting. If the server is configured correctly, players may be able to see and join it through their Steam friends list.

## Server Name

Ensure that you are searching for the correct server name.

* Open the [Apollo Panel](https://control.sparkedhost.us/).

* Navigate to the "Startup" tab.

* Find the **Server Name** field.

* Search for the correct server name.

## Restart Your Valheim Server

If everything looks correct but the server still doesn't appear:

1. Stop the server from the [SparkedHost panel](https://control.sparkedhost.us/).

2. Wait for the server to shut down completely.

3. Start the server again.

4. Wait for the console to finish loading.

5. Open Valheim.

6. Search for the server again.

## Internet Connection

A poor or unstable internet connection can prevent Valheim from loading the server list or connecting to your server.

* Make sure your device has a stable internet connection.

* Try to restart your router or modem.

* Check whether other online services are working normally.

* If you're using Wi-Fi, try connecting through Ethernet if possible.

* Restart Valheim after your internet connection is restored.

## IP Address and Port

* Copy the server's IP address and port.
