How to add and use a Datapack on your Minecraft Server

Datapacks were added to Java in 1.13 and all newer version of Minecraft. These allow for the Minecraft server to be more customized, they can override: crafting, mod behaviour, enchantments and much more. Let's see how we add them.

Downloading / Installing the Datapack

Download the datapack you want to install on your server. In this case, we will install the Ketket's Tables Datapack.

Head over to the File Manager of the server you'd like to install the datapack on. Then navigate to the main World folder. This can be different if you have changed the default world of your server

In your world folder, navigate to the datapacks folder.

Upload the Datapack, leaving it in the zipped state.

Restart the server.

Listing the Datapack(s)

Note: You will need to set yourself as an operator. To do this, do /op <username>.

To list all available datapacks, do /datapack list.

By default, the datapack will be enabled. However, if you want to disable the datapack for any reason, you are able to disable it by using the /datapack disable command.

We now have our datapack enabled in-game!
