How To Configure A Euro Truck Simulator 2 Server
Launching your own Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2) server is easier than you might think—especially with the right steps in place. Whether you're setting up a multiplayer convoy or building a community, having a properly configured server ensures smooth gameplay and better performance. This guide will walk you through configuring an ETS2 server using tools like TruckersMP or through direct shared hosting platforms.
Edit Euro Truck Simulator 2 properties
When hosting a Convoy session directly within Euro Truck Simulator 2, you have several options to customize the experience for your group:
- Player Limits: The host can define the maximum number of players allowed in the session. Currently, Convoy mode supports up to 8 players, though SCS Software has indicated plans to increase this limit in the future.
- Gameplay Elements: You can toggle various in-game settings that will apply to all participants:
- AI Traffic: Enable or disable AI traffic.
- Player Collisions: Control whether players can collide with each other ("enable damage between players").
- Collisions in Service Areas: Enable or disable collisions within service stations.
- Player Visibility: Choose to "hide player in no collision areas".
- Speed Limit: You can enforce a universal speed limit for the session, or allow players' individual game settings to dictate their speed limiter behavior.
- And many more options. These options can be found in the "Startup" tab of your control panel.
