How to Enable Cheats in Minecraft Bedrock Server

Enabling cheats on a Minecraft Bedrock server is quick and easy, giving you access to powerful commands like /gamemode, /give, and /tp. These tools are especially helpful for testing builds, managing players, or just having fun.

Why Enable Cheats on a Minecraft Bedrock Server?



By default, cheats are turned off in most Minecraft Bedrock Edition worlds. This is to keep the game fair and achievements active. But if you’re running a server and want more control, like switching gamemodes or giving OP permissions, you’ll need to allow cheats manually.

Just remember: Cheats disable achievements. So if you're working toward achievements, it's best to make that decision before enabling cheats.

Enabling Cheats on a Minecraft Bedrock Server



Enabling cheats on a Bedrock server is pretty easy; here's how to enable cheats in minecraft bedrock server. Just follow these steps:

1. Stop Your Server



Before making changes, make sure to stop the server. This helps avoid file issues and ensures your changes are saved properly.

2. Open the Startup Tab in our Panel



Go to our server panel and find the Startup tab.



3. Find the “Allow Cheats” Setting



Look for the option labeled Allow cheats in the list of settings. The default value is usually set to false.



4. Set “Allow Cheats” to True



Click the drop-down and change it from false to true.



5. Restart the Server



Once you’ve made that change, hit restart. This restarts your server with cheats that are now enabled.

Make Sure You're OP!



Even if cheats are enabled, you won’t be able to use all commands unless you have OP or Admin permissions. You can op a username using your control panel console by typing op <username>

What Can You Do with Cheats Enabled?



Once cheats are turned on, you can run wide range of commands via the chat or the console. Here's a quick list of what you can do:

Use /gamemode creative to fly and get inventory items

Use /give to give items in a player's inventory

Change gamerules like keepInventory or mobGriefing

Teleport players or set spawn points

Adjust the world time or weather

Example Use



Let’s say you’re in Survival mode and want to test a Redstone machine quickly. With cheats enabled and OP status, just run: /gamemode creative
