How to Kick or Ban Players on an Arma Reforger Server

Managing player behavior is essential for maintaining a fair and enjoyable environment on your Arma Reforger server. Kicking or banning players allows administrators to remove disruptive users and enforce server rules. These actions can be performed in-game with admin permissions or configured in server files as needed. This guide explains the recommended methods for kicking or banning players.

How to Identify a Player’s ID In Game

Before you can kick or ban a player using commands, you need to identify their unique player ID.

  1. Launch Arma Reforger and join your server.

  1. Log in as the administrator/game master of the server using the Admin Password.

  1. Open the in-game chat and run the command "#players" to see each player's Player #, Player UID, and in-game name.

How to Kick a Player Using Commands

  1. Get the Player UID of the player that you want to kick off the server.

  1. Open the in-game chat and enter "#kick <Player UID>", and it should kick the user out of the server.

Use kicks for minor rule violations or temporary disruptions, as this doesn't prevent players from joining again.

How to Ban a Player Using Commands

  1. Get the Player UID of the player that you want to ban from the server.

  1. Open the in-game chat and enter "#ban create <Player UID> <Ban Duration in Seconds> <Ban Reason>", and it will ban the player for the number of seconds that you have set.

Bans are recommended for repeated offenses, cheating, or serious rule violations.

How to Pardon a Banned Player Using Commands

If you need to restore access to a previously banned player, you can unban them using their unique ID.

  1. Get the Player UID of the player that you want to pardon from the server.

  1. Open the in-game chat and enter "#ban remove <Player UID>", and the formerly banned player should now be able to connect to the server once again.

Always verify the correct ID before unbanning to ensure you restore access to the intended player.
