How to Make a Flat World Minecraft Server

If you're ready to build a uniquely engaging Minecraft experience, making a superflat world Minecraft server is a fantastic starting point. When the entire world is set to a Plains biome by default, villages generate more frequently, and strongholds still appear underground, making structures a bit harder to find and explore, since there are much more than two layers.

Creating a New Flat World on Minecraft Java Edition



WARNING: This tutorial will delete your current world generation. Make sure to create a backup before following any of the steps below to create your newly generated world. If you don't, you will lose your entire world file.

Log into your Apollo Panel

Head over to the Files tab and open the server.properties file


Navigate the line level-type=minecraft\:normal in your server properties and change it from normal to flat


Save your content and reset the world for the new world to be generated

You can delete your current server world by deleting the world folder in your Files Manager

Creating a New Flat World on Minecraft Bedrock Edition



To add a flat world to Minecraft Bedrock edition world, edit the "level-type" property and changing it to "minecraft\:flat"

To add a flat world to your Minecraft Bedrock world in-game:

Open your game

After choosing your world's name, and choosing the desired game mode, such as creative mode

Make sure to turn on Flat World
