How To Make A Project Ozone 3 Server
What is Project Ozone 3?
Project Ozone 3: A New Way Forward is a massive Minecraft 1.12.2 modpack that takes the classic Skyblock concept and expands it into a full-blown adventure filled with tech, magic, exploration, and complex automation, similar to other minecraft modpacks . Whether you’re new to modded Minecraft or a veteran looking for a challenge, this pack offers deep progression and countless hours of gameplay.
In this guide, we'll show you how to make a Project Ozone 3 server quickly for hosting your own gaming community! This modpack has many customizations, such as a better questing pack and reward system, and it supports pack modes as they become available, and even exploration!
Key Features of Project Ozone 3 Mod Pack
Skyblock, Reimagined
You start on a tiny floating island in the void with almost nothing—but instead of just surviving, you’ll build, automate, and thrive. The default world type is “Garden of Glass,” but you can also play in normal or cave-style maps for a different vibe.
Over 1,000 Quests with Real Rewards
A massive questbook gives you structure and progression through hundreds of tech and magic mods. Completing quests earns you a special in-game currency called RAK, which you can spend on powerful loot of your choice—no random chests.
Play Your Way with Magic or Tech
Whether you love crafting spells with mods like Botania and Blood Magic, or prefer building giant factories with Mekanism and Applied Energistics 2, Project Ozone 3 gives you the tools to specialize or combine both styles.
Multiple Difficulty Modes
Choose from Normal, Titan, or Kappa mode depending on how hardcore you want the experience to be. Higher difficulties make recipes more complex and progression more rewarding.
Explore New Dimensions
Break out of the void and travel to rich, modded dimensions like The Twilight Forest, The Beneath, and more—each packed with new mobs, loot, and terrain to conquer.
Full Automation Potential
Build machines that auto-mine, auto-craft, and even auto-farm. You can eventually go from manual labor to fully automated mega-bases powered by custom tech networks.
Multiplayer Ready
Project Ozone 3 is optimized for playing with friends—cooperate on giant factories, race to finish questlines, or split up roles across magic and tech for even faster progress.
How Much RAM Do You Need For A Project Ozone 3 Server?
For a Project Ozone 3 server, you'll want at least 6–8 GB of RAM for a smooth experience with 1–2 players, especially if you're running on a java environment . If you plan to play with 3–5 players or get deep into automation, mod progression, or complex builds, aim for 8–12 GB. Larger groups or high-difficulty modes like Titan or Kappa may need 12 GB or more, especially once machines and mob farms start ramping up.
