How To Make A Satisfactory Server
Creating a Satisfactory server is the best way to enjoy the game with friends, automate massive factories, and have full control over your world. Instead of hosting it yourself, using a dedicated server or going through a hosting provider, like Sparked Host, makes setup easier and more reliable. Whether you're planning a private game session or a large-scale co-op world, we offer modern server hosting options like 24/7 uptime, mod support, and simple configuration tools to get you started fast.
In this guide, we'll walk you through how to make a Satisfactory server, explore different hosting options, and help you choose the best Satisfactory server hosting solution for your needs.
The first step to making a Satisfactory server is choosing the right type of server hosting based on your needs. Each hosting method offers different levels of customization, control, performance, and cost. Whether you're a beginner seeking a simple setup or an advanced player needing full access to server configurations, this step will help you explore the best option for your factory-building goals.
Managed Satisfactory server hosting is perfect for players who want to skip the technical work like port forwarding and start automating factories right away. With features like instant setup, DDoS protection, automatic backups, and an intuitive control panel, this method focuses on ease of use and reliability. Most hosting providers like ours also offer support teams to assist you with managing your configuration files, installing mods, and customizing your server settings.
This option is ideal for players who just want to build, connect with friends, and enjoy Satisfactory without handling manual updates, server errors, or command line access. The hosting provider takes care of the operating system, server logs, and general maintenance, so you can stay focused on production efficiency.
Using VPS service gives you more control while still offering some managed features. With a VPS, your Satisfactory server runs on a virtual environment where you have access to the operating system, server files, and firewall settings. This setup is great for those who want to install custom content, adjust server ports, or fine-tune how the server runs.
You can modify system-level settings, set up performance tools, and scale resources as your factory grows. It’s an excellent choice for players who want more control over their dedicated server applications without the full responsibility of managing physical hardware.
A dedicated Satisfactory server offers the highest level of power, control, and flexibility. With this setup, you're using a full physical machine dedicated entirely to your server, ensuring the best possible performance. This is ideal for large player communities, advanced factory builders, or content creators who want to push the game to its limits.
You’ll have full control over everything, from the configuration files and firewall rules to installing custom tools and setting up advanced server management scripts. You’re responsible for maintaining the server ports, managing the server’s IP address, and keeping everything running smoothly.
If you plan to host large-scale factories, use heavy mods, or ensure low-latency gameplay with maximum customization, a dedicated satisfactory server is the most powerful option available.
Choosing the right Satisfactory service depends on what you value most: ease of use, control, or peak performance. If you want a quick way to start building factories with friends, a managed server is the best option, offering instant setup and ongoing support from your hosting provider. If you prefer flexibility and room to scale, a VPS strikes a perfect balance, letting you manage your configuration files, tweak server ports, and adjust firewall settings as needed. But if you want full access to hardware resources, complete control over the operating system, and the ability to fine-tune every aspect of your world, a dedicated server is the top-tier choice.
No matter which option you choose, each one allows you to host your own Satisfactory server with powerful features, personalized settings, and reliable server management. Buying a Satisfactory server isn’t just about launching a game world. It’s about investing in performance, long-term flexibility, and the overall quality of your factory-building experience.
Go to the Satisfactory Server Hosting page.
Choose between the Budget or Enterprise server tiers.
Budget Tier: This tier is ideal for small groups or casual factory-building. It uses basic hardware but still provides enough power to host a stable Satisfactory server for a few friends, including support for essential mods and standard gameplay.
Enterprise Tier: A balanced option with upgraded hardware, increased storage, and enhanced performance, perfect for active Satisfactory communities and expanding factory projects. It ensures smoother automation, better responsiveness, and consistent uptime while offering the same features as the Budget Tier.
The main difference between the two server tiers is that the hardware components (CPU, RAM, SSD, etc.) differ. The Enterprise tier uses better components than the Budget Tier, which uses our lowest-priced components. You can view the Hardware used for each location and server tier on our Hardware & Locations page.

After choosing the Server Tier you want, select the individual Satisfactory Server Hosting plan. The prices of each Satisfactory Hosting plan are scaled according to the resources and RAM they use.
| The player amounts mentioned for each plan are only recommendations for the maximum number of players you could have; you are free to go beyond the player amount listed on the plans.
You can also change the Billing Cycle to suit your preference, choose between Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annually, or Annually. Longer billing cycles often come with discounted rates, making them a great choice if you plan to host your Satisfactory server long-term.

Once you have selected the plan and billing cycle you want to use, fill out the rest of the configurable options, such as the Satisfactory Server Location, the number of backups you want, the server storage size, and even our "Game Management" add-on.

When you are ready to purchase the services you selected, you can go to your cart to review the selected items and check out when you are ready. Optionally, if you have one, you can also enter a promo code to get a discount on your purchase.

From there, you can select your preferred payment method and register a Sparked Host Client Area account if you do not already have one.
You can view the different payment methods we accept and their availability on our Payment Methods page.

Go to the VPS Hosting page.
Choose between the Premium and Budget hardware tiers.
Budget Tier: This tier is ideal for small-scale Satisfactory server setups or testing factory layouts. It delivers reliable performance at a lower cost, making it perfect for hosting a few players with light mod usage and basic automation.
Premium Tier: The Premium Tier offers enhanced CPU power, increased network bandwidth, and greater overall stability, which is ideal for running larger factory builds, supporting more players, and managing complex server configurations. It's built for demanding sessions and ensures better performance during peak activity.
Choose the Budget Tier if you're starting small, experimenting with features, or hosting a limited group. Go with the Premium Tier if you plan to grow your player base, install custom maps, or want consistently smooth gameplay from your Satisfactory service especially during high-traffic periods.
Each location may use different hardware configurations but offer equivalent performance. You can check the specific hardware used at each location by visiting our Hardware & Locations page.

Once you've selected your preferred Hardware Tier, choose the VPS Hosting plan that suits your needs. Each plan is priced based on the resources and bandwidth it offers.
You can also choose the Server Location that best suits your needs. Sparked Host offers multiple global locations, allowing you to host your VPS Hosting service closer to you or your player base. Selecting a location near your region helps reduce latency and ensures a smoother, more responsive gameplay experience for you and other players.

Once you have selected the plan you want to use, fill out the rest of the configurable options, such as the number of IPv4 Addresses you want and other additional add-ons like our "Pterodactyl Installation" and "Security Check" add-ons.

Go to the Dedicated Server Hosting page.
Click the Deploy button to select the Dedicated Server you want to deploy. You can filter the list by location, order it by highest performance, and even filter it if you wish the server to use an AMD or Intel processor.

After selecting the server you want to use, you can configure options such as the OS it should use and use addons such as our "Full Software Support/Managed Dedicated Server" and "Apollo Panel Instance" addons.
