How To Restart Valheim Server
Restarting your Valheim server is a simple way to refresh performance, apply updates, or resolve minor bugs that can interrupt gameplay. Whether you're running a local dedicated server or using a hosting provider, a proper restart helps keep your world stable and responsive.
In this article, we'll show you how to restart Valheim server by using our console game panel and help command the server to restart when desired.
Restarting A Valheim Server One Time
To restart a Valheim server one time:
- Access your Apollo panel
- Click on the Restart button
Setup Automatic Restarts to Restart A Valheim Server
To restart a Valheim server automatically:
- Open your Apollo panel
- Navigate to the Schedules tab
- Click on Create New Schedule
- Now, assign the schedule's name, and configure the time between each restart. The system uses the cronjob syntax. Check out this page here to help you configure the time.
- You can also configure whether the schedule should only be executed when the server is online.
- Click on Create New Schedule
- Open the created schedule, and click on New Task
- Now, open the Actions menu, and choose Send Power Action
- In the Payload menu, choose Restart the Server
- Click on Create Task
- Now, your server will restart at the time you've set and chosen
