How to Setup Votifier on a Minecraft Server

Votifier is a Minecraft server plugin that rewards players for voting for your server on listing sites. It helps boost your server’s visibility by encouraging players to vote daily in exchange for in-game perks, items, or ranks. Votifier works by listening for vote notifications from sites like MinecraftServers.org, then triggering a response based on how you configure it.

Here’s what Votifier can do:

Detect and process player votes automatically

Reward players with items, commands, or messages

Integrate with other plugins like GAListener or NuVotifier

Help grow your server’s popularity and community engagement

It’s a win-win: players get rewards, and your server gets noticed.

We will be using NuVotifier instead of the original Votifier plugin as NuVotifier has been updated to work with later versions of Minecraft. NuVotifier is a fork of the original plugin, Votifier.

How to Install Votifier Plugin

To install the Votifier Plugin for your Minecraft server:

Firstly, Download the plugin from the spigot website.

You will also need a “Vote Listener”. NuVotifier does not include any listeners by default. In this case, we will be using “SuperbVote” as our listener which you are able to download here.

Upload both plugins to the “plugins” folder. The plugins folder is located in the root directory of the server. Usually where the server.jar is located at.

Restart the server in the “Console” tab on the left-hand side of the panel. We do not recommend reloading the server as it may cause issues!

Configuring Votifier

To configure Votifier on your Minecraft server:

Click on “Network” on the left-hand side of the Apollo Panel.

Click on “Create Allocation”. This will create an open port for votifier to use.

Next, Head back into the “File Manager” then into the “Plugins” folder, and finally into the Votifier folder and find the config.yml file.

Find the line port:. Replace the default port (8192) with the port which had been assigned to the server under the “Network” tab. If you have forgotten the port, simply check again under the “Network” tab. In this case, We will change the port to 25615.

Votifier Public Key - The public key is located in the “rsa” folder inside the “Votifier” plugin folder. Open the contents of the public key. Then copy the contents and paste it into the “Votifier Public Key” form box.

Overall, The filled out form should be looking similar to this:

To check that you have entered your Votifier information correctly, Click “Send Test Vote”. If the test has been successful, You should see the plugin responding back in the server console.

Finally, Click “Add” to complete the setup on minecraftservers.org.

Want to reward your players for voting? (OPTIONAL)

Head over to the “SuperbVote” folder and find the “config.yml”

Find the line rewards:. Here you will be able to edit the commands that are executed when a player has voted. You are able to also set up special rewards if a player has specific permissions. For example, If you would like to give a player a diamond axe, simply, under the commands, enter the line - give %player% diamond_axe

Want to enable a /vote command? (OPTIONAL)

Find the line vote-command and change the line from false to true

Change the text. This will appear when the player will execute the /vote command
