How to Turn Off Advancements in Minecraft

If you’re tired of all those pop-ups every time you complete new challenges, you're in the right place. In this guide, we'll show you how to turn off and disable the sliding toast notifications on the upper right corner of your screen if you prefer playing without distractions and keep your screen clutter-free. Turning off advancements on your Minecraft Java Edition server is a simple tweak feature.

There are multiple ways to turn off achievement in your Minecraft server:

Method 1: Using Commands



Please note you need operator permissions before using any of the following commands. Here is a guide on how to get OP permissions. (YELLOW BOX)

To turn off player advancement announcements, join your game type the following in your server's chat:

/gamerule announceAdvancements false


To enable advancement announcements back on type the following in your server's chat:


You can use the same commands in your server console to turn off player advancement announcements:




Method 2: Using Server Properties



Open your Apollo Panel

Head over to the Files Manager tab and then to the server.properties file


Now locate announce-player-achievements=true and change the value from `false to true like announce-player-achievements=false



If you cannot find announce-player-achievements=true you can add it at the end of your server properties file.

Now save your changes and restart or start your server and you are good to go!
