Getting Started - Rust

Looks like you have purchased a Rust Server. Wondering how to get started with your new server? Checkout the guide below to get a basic start on getting your server setup.

Getting Started with your Rust Server

First thing you will want to do when you get access to your server is to head over to the "Startup" tab.

Once you get to the Startup tab, there will be several options for you to edit and configure to your liking.

The most important startup options to edit will be the Oxide/UMOD variable. This is the plugin framework and is required for all plugins and extensions in the "Mods" tab.

The World Seed and World Size options are also important. You can check map recommendations for you package here Map Size Recommendations. You can also find some world seeds here: Map Gallery

You can also set server tags as well. A list of server tags available to you can be found here: Server Tag List

Make sure to not edit the RCON port or App Port unless you know what you are doing as this can cause your server to no longer show up in the server list or fail to start all together!
