Open your Apollo panel

Head over to the Files tab

Navigate to the following directory: `/home/container/Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini`

Search for `DeathPenalty` using "Ctrl + F"

Now, change the setting as desired

Here are the following options for what you can set the `DeathPenalty` option to:

**None**\

No penalty for death. Players keep all items and resources.

**Item**\

Players lose only items, but may keep equipped gear or Pals (depending on server version).

**ItemAndEquipment**\

Players lose everything, including inventory and equipped items.

All (Default)\

The most punishing option. Players lose all items, equipment, and possibly captured Pals on death.
