How To Change Palworld Server Settings
Customizing your Palworld server settings lets you shape the game exactly how you want it. Whether you're adjusting difficulty, resource rates, or PvP rules, these tweaks help tailor the experience for your group.
Changing settings is simple and gives you full control over gameplay balance, pace, and world behavior. Perfect for private servers, roleplay, or modded adventures, it’s the easiest way to make Palworld your own.
In this guide, we'll show you how to change Palworld server settings and help you edit Palworld server settings to change your overall Palworld experience from a default Palworld server to a much better customized Palworld server!
Editing PalWorldSettings.ini
This file controls core Palworld server settings like max players, server password, public IP, and remote console. You can edit it with a text editor to change things like death penalty drops, friendly fire, default hatching time, and more. It’s used to configure your Palworld server setup fully.
You can access the PalWorldSettings.ini
file by searching for the following directory: /home/container/Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini
Here is a list of the settings in the PalWorldSettings
file, and what they do:
