How to create a MySQL User on cPanel
- Login to the cPanel dashboard. You are able to log in using the button on the web hosting package.
- Once logged in, Head down over to the “Databases” category and select “MySQL Databases”.
- Here you are able to create new databases, and users and modify existing databases and users.
- Under the “MySQL” section, fill out the form. This is where you will name your user. Your overall username name will be
<cpanel username>_< name>
. For example,sparked3_website
. You will also need to make a secure password!
- Click “Create User”. The MySQL user should now be created!
