How to grant Xbox Gamepass users admin access on your Valheim server

To make these changes, first ensure that Crossplay is enabled on your Valheim server. You can check the tutorial here How to enable Crossplay on your Valheim server.

1. First, you'll need to identify the Xbox user ID. You can find this from the console. When a player joins, you'll see something like this at the end of the line:

Xbox_2535416401464117

Copy that code.

2. Navigate to the File Manager and locate the path /home/container/.config/unity3d/IronGate/Valheim.

3. Inside the Valheim folder, open the adminlist.txt file and paste the player code. Only one code per line.

4. Restart your server.

Done! You can now play on your Valheim server.
