How to install a custom version of Fabric

Let's understand how you can simply install the custom fabric version you want on your Sparked Host minecraft server! 😀

Step 1: Backup Your Files

Before making any changes, it's always a good practice to safeguard your data by creating a backup. It will help in preventing any potential data loss and it will be easy for you to undo the changes if you want.

Step 2: Downloading FabricMC Jar File

Navigate to the FabricMC website at https://fabricmc.net/use/server/.

Select the Minecraft version you want. You can leave the Installer Version and Fabric Loader Version at their default settings unless you have specific requirements.

Click on the Executable Server (.jar) button to download the Fabric Jar file.

Step 3: Understand your goal

Depending on your goal, you may choose between a fresh installation or an update:
For a fresh Fabric installation, consider deleting all existing files on your server.
To update/change your Fabric version, only remove the existing jar file present in the main directory of your server files. No need for all the files to be deleted in this case.

Step 4: Uploading jar file to Server

After determining your goal, you just need to upload the downloaded jar file from the fabric website to the main directory of your server, and after uploading, rename the uploaded file to server.jar

Step 5: Start Your Server

Start the server now and the fabric version you wanted should be loaded!

By following these steps, you can successfully install a custom Fabric version on your Minecraft server.
