How to install WordPress on cPanel
WordPress is a handy piece of software to quickly create stunning websites. It is a free and open-source content management system written in PHP Features include a plugin architecture and a template system, referred to within WordPress as Themes.
Enough talk. Let’s install WordPress!
How to install WordPress on cPanel
- Login to the cPanel dashboard. You are able to log in using the button on the web hosting package.
- Once logged in, Head down over to the “Softaculous App Installer” category and select “WordPress”.
- Click the blue “Install” button. A Dropdown window will open. You are able to edit the forms. A recommended form to change is the Admin Account username and password. You are also able to edit your site name and site description.
- Once all the information has been filled out, click “Install” at the very bottom of the page. You are able to make the installer send emails about the installation process.
- If the installation was successful, you should receive a page congratulating you that the software that has been installed
- You are now able to access the website. In this example, we installed it to the /wp of our domain. We would go to
https://sparked-media.com/wp
.
To access the admin dashboard, simply add /wp-admin
on the domain. In this case, It would be https://sparked-media.com/wp/wp-admin
