How to import a server using the “Server importer” tool

The server importer tool is useful if you would like to transfer hosts to Sparked Host. No need for long download times and then long upload times to Sparked Host. With the server importer tool, you can easily transfer the files over to Sparked Host. This will make your life a whole lot easier.

Let’s dig into it!

How to use the Server Importer tool

On the left-hand side of the Apollo Panel, Click “Importer”

A form will appear asking for the SFTP / FTP credentials of the server that you would like to import. Enter the following details:

Remote Host - The IP address or hostname for the remote location of the server being imported. Make sure you remove any protocol from this part (for example, sftp://).
Remote Port - The port for the remote location of the server being imported.
Type - The type of import for the files. Here you can select whether you are importing using FTP or SFTP
Username - The username of the authenticating user to the remote server.
Password - The password of the authenticating user to the remote server.
Source Path - The base directory for the files to be imported from.
Destination Path - The base directory for the files to be imported to.
Truncate - This is an OFF/ON toggle switch which enables you to choose if files should be deleted on your server before importing

After all the details are filled out, Click “Import Server”.

Wait for all the files to be transferred over to the Sparked Host server.

If successful, now be located in your server!
