How to setup and install SpongeForge

What is SpongeForge? Well, SpongeForge is a coremod for Minecraft Forge, which is an existing Minecraft: Java Edition modding framework famous for spurring the Minecraft modding scene. Forge lacks a cross-version API, and this is where Sponge steps in. Sponge allows server owners to deploy Sponge plugins with ease, making server management easier.

Head over to the SpongeForge website here.



It is recommended to download the "Latest Recommended Build" as it provides features that are up-to-date and tested. To download the latest recommended build, click the "Download" button. In this case, we will be using 1.12.2.



It will automatically download the JAR file to your computer

Installing SpongeForge



Head over to the "File Manager" on your server.



Head into the "Mods" folder and upload the JAR file that you have just downloaded by using the yellow upload button.





Now go to your console and start up the server. SpongeForge is now installed!
